Learn High-Demand Skills this Spring: Design for the Mobile Experience
Designing mobile user experiences that engage users is a high demand skill in today's marketplace. It is made complex by mobile-specific considerations that involve small screens, usage and connectivity constraints and fast changing content.Leanna Jones will bring her considerable expertise to San Diego City College this Spring. Set up for success at San Diego City College, she transferred to San Diego State University where she earned her BA in Graphic Design. She went on to freelance for a large digital agency and never looked back. With seven years of experience applying strategic design thinking to a variety of project media from packaging and signage to identity to digital. She currently works as a Senior Designer/Art Director at Cozy where she is responsible for the design execution of digital products for a wide variety of clients, large and small. She is passionate about the ever-changing world of design and committed to bringing her big agency/small agency experience to the classroom.

This intermediate level course focuses on effective practices and strategies to deliver effective mobile experience design. Students will build visual and conceptual skills related to essential mobile web and application design. Adaptive and responsive design and user experience is emphasized through application design and mobile first strategies. Learn how to research an audience to gain insights that result in a successful mobile experience that will enhance a user’s brand experience and build brand loyalty.
