Typographic design, whether considered a functional or creative activity, is an essential component of all visual communications. Imagine pushing your skills with a past President of the American Institute of Graphic Arts, San Diego chapter and Visual Asylum studio partner Amy Levine. Learn from the best in this intermediate level course and take advantage of an innovative creative director with time to give personal attention to your work.
By understanding the principles of typography, a graphic designer should have the ability to improve the meaning of a message. Throughout the term, in Type 2 you will study typographic composition, syntax and semantics as they apply to improving the quality of information and communication.
The result will be dynamic projects for your portfolio that will turn heads such as Conference Branding, artful theatre logos and impactful direct mail pieces.
