James Bowman has worked as an Art Director and Designer in various capacities, from agency to in-house, over the past 20 years. He currently maintains a freelance practice doing print and digital work for a select client list. Passionate about education, he began teaching design in 2002. Seeing so many students flourish and succeed ranks among his most rewarding life experiences. James has been an active part of the creative community through volunteer work and as a past member of the AIGA San Diego board of directors. Outside of the office, he enjoys surfing, vintage drums, guitars, Blue Note records, good tea, and Saturday mornings with his wife and daughter.
Lindsay Jonkers, an alumna of San Diego City College's graphic design program, transitioned from architectural lighting design to graphic design and now shares her experience with students in the same program. When she's not teaching, she works as a senior graphic designer, specializing in branding and digital marketing design. Lindsay is also an accomplished oil painter, running her own art studio from home.
