ARTG206 Advanced Typography

Students will utilize intermediate to advanced typographic principles to solve design problems, employing appropriate production methods. Projects will include the use of expressive typography to communicate meaning building on principles learned in Type 1. Challenging projects will include traditional and deconstructive type techniques to appeal to a variety of target audiences.

 

CATALOG COURSE DESCRIPTION
This advanced course covers techniques and conceptual strategies to solve complex typographic problems. Emphasis is placed on historical and contemporary letterforms and the expressive potential of typography to create meaning.
