Intermediate students will focus on the conceptual development, research and ideation techniques to solve challenging design and production problems. A variety of techniques including digital and hand illustration will be applied to projects like book covers, packaging and custom typeface design for portfolio projects. Writing for portfolio and process pages will be covered.

 

CATALOG COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is a practical study of creativity and global design through travel and the exploration of new people, places and cultures. Emphasis is placed on the application of innovative thinking and global competencies to design solutions for an increasingly interconnected world. Students expand their perspectives and develop global competencies through immersion into select geographic areas.
