Intermediate students will develop multi-page collateral that aesthetically integrates systems and contexts. Focus on the use of grids, effective use of type and imagery as well as legibility to communicate compelling visual concepts. Use of hierarchy to position and prioritize design elements to tell a story and magnify meaning. Typical projects include multiple page magazine and editorial design, brochures and infographic posters.

 

CATALOG COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is a study of design layout for two-dimensional graphic projects, such as business systems, brochures, advertisements, and posters. The primary tool is the computer, but traditional methods are also used. Topics include grids, principles and procedures of effective layout.
